(More customer reviews)I moved up from a Shoei RF-900 and a Arai Signet GT into a Shoei X-12. I love my RF-900, but this X-12 ROCKS!!! The ventilation is outstanding. When it is cool you have to close the vent that is directed at your forehead or your brain will freeze. Ha! The sheild removal has always rivaled the Arai, and the new system is no exception. I got the blue and white Kiyonari and added the blue spectra shield, and I have to say, it is the coolest helmet that I have ever seen. The shape of the helmet just looks cool, but obviously aerodynamics are the source of the design. The weight increased slightly over the X-11, but it is nominal. I tried on the X-11 and the Quantum V, but the X-12 felt the best. I am very pleased with my purchase decision, and if I wreck this one would not hesitate to purchase another. In my opinion, I own the best helmet on the market, and my head is worth it!
