(More customer reviews)I have had one of the Valterra A10 refrigerator fans for 8 years now. No issues with reliability. Runs 5 months a year, but I have to replace the (2) "D" batteries every month or so.
The purpose of the fan is to circulate the air in your RV propane refrigerator. Most propane refrigerators do not have any fan or other means to circulate the air, resulting in uneven temperatures inside the box. The fan doesn't move a lot of air, just enough to balance out the interior temperature.
It also speeds up the initial cool down, as well as maintain even temperatures throughout the refrigerator interior. This is especially important if you are in and out of your refrigerator a lot.
I definitely recommend having a refrigerator fan in your RV refrigerator.
