(More customer reviews)I used this product at the tail end of my catalytic converter. It broke right at the flange, I used other products such as a VersaChem paste, and a high temp stick epoxy, none of those work. I then purchased the Permatex 1000 degree bandage. At first I did not know how to use the product, because what you get in the package is a roll of wire, and a foil package-inside is the bandage-it had a foil backing, I had no clue what to do with the foil backing. Anyhow...I applied the moist bandage, wrapped it around the pipe and flange--wrapped it up a few times, pushed and squeezed, and molded it like how I needed. Unwrapped the wire-which was somewhat difficult and wrapped a few turns around my bandage repair. Ran the car for about 30 mins. No noise, leaks seems to be fixed (for now). A much better product than those paste, putty, stick products out there. I believe the high temps are a problem with these type of products. Permatex worked for me. I would definately use it again if I needed it.
