(More customer reviews)What can be said about a gasket? It's needed for this application (connecting the header to the Y-pipe on Honda and Acuras). Other then making your own this is kinda needed.
My original gasket was installed about three years ago and held up perfectly fine. But just recently I removed the header to wrap it and found out that the original gasket was super brittle (just looking at it turned it into dust).
Pros:
Creates a tight fit between the header and Y-pipe.
Cons:
Kinda spendy.

(More customer reviews)Been using this stuff for over 15 years on everything from cars/trucks, to motorcycles, lawn equipment, & even the coal stove. Works great as an adhesive too, as it dries to a strong rubber-like texture. Needs a bit of time to cure, but once it does it forms a pretty strong bond. I once used it in place of the differential cover gasket in a '86 Grand Marquis - lasted over 6 years before it started weeping gear oil. The color is ugly, but the stuff works.

Bosal 256-287 Gasket Review

(More customer reviews)I am attempting to mate this Bosal gasket 256-287 to a Bosal front pipe 713-357, but the gasket is too small. This gasket does not fit over the bit of pipe that extends through the flange on the catalytic converter side of this front pipe.
According to Bosal's parts website, 256-287 is the right part number. But this gasket does not fit this pipe. My bet is that the gasket in my package is the wrong size. Here's the size I measured: I.D. = 2.209" (56.1086 mm), O.D. = 2.679 (68.0466 mm).
Please let me know if this gasket is the correct one. There are no markings on the gasket itself.

Mr. Gasket 9615 Compressed Gasket Material Sheet Review

(More customer reviews)Part of the annual maintenance routine of my wood pellet stove is removing the exhaust fan assembly. When the flange is removed, the sealing gasket is destroyed. The stove's manufacturer provided a replacement gasket at $25/ea which was good for a single season. After 8 years, the part was no longer available. This gasket material works great. Its easy to work with and the sheet size will yield at least 4 gaskets.
Note that this material is not suitable for sealing the stove door.
