Lisle 34400 Exhaust / Tailpipe Stretcher Review

This tool is well made. It works fairly well, but I wouldn't recommend using it more than occasionally. It requires an air impact wrench, and a lot of air pressure around 160 psi for several minutes. You have to keep it well lubed with anti-sieze paste. you should keep rotating the tool in the pipe, loosen it, rotate, tighten, repeat, or it will stretch the pipe out of round. Also wear ear plugs! You will also have to buy an additional extender at about $20, if you are working on anything larger than a compact car.

Danaher Tool Group KDS2031 Cutter Exhaust and Chain TypeTailpipe Review

I've just spent an hour trying to cut through a 2" piece of exhaust tubing, and this exhaust cutter has fallen apart no less than 5 times. It's barely cutting, and what it is "cutting" is threads, not a nice clean cut. It's almost impossible to get enough clamping force on this thing to even make a dent in the tubing.
I'm not sure where the "1/4 turn for a full cut" came from, but for sure it is not from reality. I don't know what I'll do now, as I cannot drive my car to inspection because of the huge slice in the tubing because the portion of the tube it DID cut is only about 90° worth.
The advertising for this product is false, and I will do my best to inform the other engineers and mechanics that I work with of the low quality of this tool.

Serviceable tool works in hard-to-reach areas
Keep well oiled
Replacement part KDT2031-82 cutter chain assembly
It will not cut double-wall pipes
This tool is used to cut pipes 3/4" to 3" (19 to 76mm) in diameter. It has fifteen (15) blades that effectively cut pipe, so only a 1/4" rotation is needed for a complete cut. The handles are plastisol-dipped for easy grip and comfort.
