I tried clamps after losing one slip on but they didn't look good so I tried these heat shields and it gave it a much better appearance. The exhaust pipes have a nice unique style to it. I don't believe you will be disappointed. Worth the price and glad somebody made these

The end result is a nice hooligan look for this basket case restore to ride bike.

(More customer reviews)I used the high heat paint on the header wrap as recommend. One thing I would highly suggest that when you start your car that you let it idle for a while before driving it unless your driving along a highway for a long distance. I made that mistake and smoke poured out from the engine compartment while I was sitting at a light. I am pretty sure it was the paint that was causing the smoke and the smell wasn't great either. I had to apply a second layer of wrap over the first layer, long story, but the original layer was in okay condition and I'm not sure if the paint helped as it had only been a few months since I put the first layer on.

Vulcan Titanium Ultimate Exhaust Header Wrap 2X50 Lava Fiber Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this wrap to do a custom job on my Harley headers. So far I've only been able to wrap the head pipe on my enduro bike but it looks awesome! Not only does it look good, it reduces the heat coming off the header next to my leg. I suggest wearing latex or nitrile gloves to install this wrap as the fibers can get embeded into your skin and itch for days. Handing the wrap without gloves won't typically irritate your skin but when you apply it that is when you should put the gloves on because you will have to pull and stretch the material to make it fit. I suggest using hose clamps to secure the wrap as well as opposed to steel tie straps because the clamps have more surface area to hold the wrap and get tighter easier.
