Dorman 674-608 OE Solutions Exhaust Manifold Kit Review

This Dorman 674-608 Exhaust Manifold kit was about $550.00 at my local "Autozone" and, "Advance Auto", (exact model). I purchased it here on Amazon for less than $298.00 (has gone up now, but still a good deal). and that was Shipped!! Came in a nice large box with lots of packing nuts. Came with everything needed less some of the 13mm nuts, (no big deal if you don't mind reusing the old ones). All I needed was a few metric wrenches and sockets. You should have an, 02 sensor tool. You will need to remove 2 of them first. I am not an auto mechanic, but very mechanical. Amazon saved me lots of money on the purchase price delivered, the rest was not as hard as I expected. It was the first Manifold I have ever done. Oh and by the way, This was for my Honda Civic. Honda wanted about $1,800 for the job, my mechanic wanted $900.00 I did it for less than $300. Oh, you should use "Never Seize" on all the nuts and bolts before you bolt it up. You will need a Torque rench also, (I just borrowed one). Thank you AMAZON...

This is an excellent OEM you need this model if your car will need to pass the state inspection good for MA I have a professional install the unit and did pass MA state inspection. I will recommend getting 2 gaskets this unit came only with one low quality (manifold gasket) but you need the one for the catalytic part since this item is made of two parts. Also replace the Two O2 censor at the same time so you do not have to worry about other mechanic visit because you check engine light came after replacing the Dorman 673-439 Exhaust.

Dorman OE Solutions Exhaust Manifold 674-439 Review

Dorman OE Solutions Exhaust Manifold 674-439

This is my second Dorman manifold. I put the first one in a 1997 Honda Civic LX and the Second in a 1999 Honda Civic LX. The instructions are very general and are made for all of the different combinations of exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. They say there are serrated flange nuts to attach the two parts but all I found in the box were normal grade 5 nuts. I purchased a few flange nuts and everything went together easily. There are also nuts and bolts included to attach a heat shield. On this catalytic converter the heat shield was pre-attached
Installation was pretty easy. The lower oxygen sensor was completely seized on both cars and had to be replaced. If you live in the rust belt expect to replace it. The Dorman is a little slimmer than the OEM version so it slides into place easily. Use a torque wrench so you don't crack the manifold. The car is much quieter now. The first installation took about 4 hours and two trips to the auto store and the second was only 2 hours with no trips. Overall, a good product and much less expensive than anything else around.

ATP 101122 Exhaust Manifold Review

I replaced the stock catalytic convert in my 1996 Honda Civic DX due to a failure of the stock part. The installation of this new cat was a breeze, replaced the old cat in less than an hour. This one is about an inch thinner than the stock cat which made installation past the air conditioning pipes very easy. the finish of the cat was rough but nowhere that caused a problem during installation. I've had it in for about 6 weeks now with no CEL illumination.
My only complaint is that upon receiving the new cat I noticed there were no screws or studs included in the packaging. There was an exhaust gasket for the block mount side, the exhaust pipe side and the manifold heat shield. I called the distributor about this and after some back and forth the situation was resolved. Stockwise auto and Chris in particular were great to work with.
