Made multiply changes to exhaust system so unknown results of just this item. My stock 3.4l Toyota Tacoma truck has more power, that I always suspected of had a restrictive exhaust system which is true. Whether this restriction was from the catalytic converter or the muffler system; I do not know, but after putting on this stainless steel catalytic converter that does bolt in/on place without modifications to a Gibson stainless steel exhaust kit that does not simply bolt in place, my truck now has a noisier growl and runs free. Wish I made this change when I first bought the truck, as it is far better even with the added noise factor, which grows on you but I would like to have it quite if I did not have to give up a better running truck. I believe the noise is do to the smaller muffler and has nothing to do with the catalytic converter, only wish I new if changing the catalytic converter would have improved the flow without adding the noise that I believe is caused by the after market exhaust system which cost a lot to install as it was not a bolt in/on no matter how they describe it. All I know is that you are going be going to good muffler shop which should be able to do the same job with the parts they have on hand. It would have been worth buying the exhaust kit it if was simple installation complete with the flange plate that bolts up to the catalytic converter and factory style muffler hangers welded in place but then you still going to shop to have it welded for a seal tight durable connection which means your are going to be paying more money to have it installed, killing any savings of buying a exhaust kit, especially one that does not come with the flange plate and needs to be welded together to be a sealed system plus the clamp on supplied single hanging bracket(s) suck compared to the welded on dual factory original setup. Thanks to my installer he fabricated a setup similar to the factory muffler hanger which I am very pleased with. Secondary thoughts are that the stainless steel system is over kill and the aluminumized steel is the way to go according to the muffler shop I went to. complete with the flange plate that bolts up to the catalyic converter and factory style muffler hangers welded in place but then you still going to shop to have it welded for a seal tight durable connection which means your are going to be paying more money to have it installed, killing any savings of buying a exhaust kit, especially one that does not come with the flange plate and needs to be welded together to be a sealed system plus the clamp on supplied single hanging bracket(s) suck compared to the welded on dual factory orginal setup. If you live in Washington State you are going to be paying sales tax if you use Amazon.

The unit was exactly as advertised as a direct fit OEM. No adapters required, simple (Reciprocating saw) cut of rear cat exhaust pipe and it fits right in and just clamp it in place. Passed exhaust emission testing and everyone is happy............

The converter arrived quickly. It replaced the original, but pipe size is a little smaller than the original OEM converter. Could that mean it might be more restrictive or might not last as long as the original? It's possible there is no effective difference. Time will tell.
You will also need to have 2 exhaust flange gaskets and 4 each 5/16" x 2" bolts with washers, lock washers and nuts.

Dorman 674-608 OE Solutions Exhaust Manifold Kit Review

Dorman 674-608 OE Solutions Exhaust Manifold Kit

This Dorman 674-608 Exhaust Manifold kit was about $550.00 at my local "Autozone" and, "Advance Auto", (exact model). I purchased it here on Amazon for less than $298.00 (has gone up now, but still a good deal). and that was Shipped!! Came in a nice large box with lots of packing nuts. Came with everything needed less some of the 13mm nuts, (no big deal if you don't mind reusing the old ones). All I needed was a few metric wrenches and sockets. You should have an, 02 sensor tool. You will need to remove 2 of them first. I am not an auto mechanic, but very mechanical. Amazon saved me lots of money on the purchase price delivered, the rest was not as hard as I expected. It was the first Manifold I have ever done. Oh and by the way, This was for my Honda Civic. Honda wanted about $1,800 for the job, my mechanic wanted $900.00 I did it for less than $300. Oh, you should use "Never Seize" on all the nuts and bolts before you bolt it up. You will need a Torque rench also, (I just borrowed one). Thank you AMAZON...

ATP 101122 Exhaust Manifold Review

ATP 101122 Exhaust Manifold

I replaced the stock catalytic convert in my 1996 Honda Civic DX due to a failure of the stock part. The installation of this new cat was a breeze, replaced the old cat in less than an hour. This one is about an inch thinner than the stock cat which made installation past the air conditioning pipes very easy. the finish of the cat was rough but nowhere that caused a problem during installation. I've had it in for about 6 weeks now with no CEL illumination.
My only complaint is that upon receiving the new cat I noticed there were no screws or studs included in the packaging. There was an exhaust gasket for the block mount side, the exhaust pipe side and the manifold heat shield. I called the distributor about this and after some back and forth the situation was resolved. Stockwise auto and Chris in particular were great to work with.
