(More customer reviews)Installed for one month now (as of 5/30/11) on my '02 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L V-8. Mechanic said that he had to add a 12" piece of exhaust pipe for the total length necessary to connect to piece coming from Jeep catalytic converter, due to the Rugged Ridge Muffler being much shorter than the stock muffler. Not sure if this is a manufacturer mistake or just my Jeep but likely it will be a common issue.
It's a bit louder than I had wanted but it's a nice tone and it was a good price compared to what Jeep wanted to charge for original parts. Bottom of the line stuff was even cheaper but you get what you pay for.
I have quite a lot more power now and better fuel mileage also! It used to average 15 and now it gets 19 mpg or better if I can manage to keep my foot out of the fuel injecters! Highway mileage is of course the best.
It's a good product. The muffler itself is made by Cherry Bomb and the tail pipe seems to be a hardy piece of good steel. I will update this review if there is anything to add as time goes on.
