Thrush 17661 Welded Muffler Review

(More customer reviews)I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 5.3 4x4. It is not a "true" dual exaust since there is only one cat and one muffler. but, I think it sounds great and for the price can't be beat. I heard a buddy's truck a few months ago and as soon as I heard it I knew I had to have the same muffler/exhaust setup. He recommended this muffler. Once it was installed, I have not regretted it at all. It has a great, deep sound when accelerating and when starting but is pretty quiet when at an idle. I was worried that it would be too loud, but that is not a worry...in fact, it could be a bit louder and that would be OK with me, but as stated, I was erroring on the side of caution to not have it too loud. Overall I love this muffler and would recommend it to a friend.

Dynomax 17741 Super Turbo Muffler Review

Thrush 17658 Welded Muffler Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this muffler on a weekend with the super saver free shipping and received it on Tuesday, it took 2 business days. soo glad i didnt waste the money for expedited shipping. It is installed on a 5.0 304 with about a 4 foot tailpipe and a .45 degree turn down, (on an old jeep) This muffler has a much deeper tone than a flowmaster. (yes, i have owned both) The tone is the smoothest, cleanest sounding tone i have heard by far. Theres none of that throat gurgling water sound or popping and crackling, its smooth and deep and its not too loud. My neighbors hated me for a while, i had straight pipe at first, this muffler has it at the perfect pitch,tone and decibel.

Dynomax 17732 Super Turbo Muffler Review

I purchased this muffler from Amazon.com (great price and free shipping) for my 2004 Sonata. Local muffler shop scared me as the old men told me this muffler wouldn't fit becuase the position of the in /out tips. My car suppose to use a mid in and off set out.
My fix consisted on driving 15 miles to another shop, the guys did a great job removing the OEM muffler and installing this one, no problems at all, direct fit with just the need of a small additional pipe to connect to the rest of the exhaust pipe.
The Muffler sounds great, very sporty and even better when the car revs up (i.e. joining a high speed street or freeway). I haven't noticed any improvement on Gas maybe little on HP but my commute changed drastically to just city, so I can't go fast and Gas milege comparision wouldn't be fair.
The OK:
**** LOUDER ****
When iddle the Muffler can barely be heard, but be aware that if your car (like my Sonata) is / was a very silent car, you will immediately notice the change as you WILL hear the muffler even with all windows up! as soon as you put your foot on the gas. The bass (low freq) sound of the muffler makes the car sound like a V8, but it is not annoying neither "ricer", the muffler just makes sure every HP is heard on low freq tone.
The not so great:
Maybe it is just my car, but I wish the muffler was a lot more silent at low RPMs. As it is right now I can hear the muffler even at 1.5K RPM, it would be great if my car was silent when below 2K RPM but sporty when passing 2K RPM. I am not annoyed and much less disapointed, it is still a very good buy, and if I roll down the windows the road noise of other cars kill the sound of the muffler when my car is on low (

Magnaflow 91006 Universal Catalytic Converter (Non CARB compliant) Review

(More customer reviews)Nice product for the most part. Helped the Jeep to pass the Emissions with very low numbers.
The only reason I did not rate this higher was that the inlet and outlet size was on the large size. More of a slop fit rather than a slip fit. I welded the pipes together and it would have been much easier if the tubes were not belled out so large about 0.125 to big.
However even with the install problems I would still recommend this and will buy again from my next project. The above issues may not be a problem if you are clamping your parts together.

Walker Exhaust 54079 Tail Pipe Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this tail pipe and put it on my 1997 jeep grand cherokee laredo. Walker claims that this will fit that model, year, and car. It does... after having to cut it in half, and bang the hell out of the bracket that holds the rear end of the tailpipe up. Even after all that im still going to have to get another tailpipe to replace it. (I can tell you one thing, it wont be from Walker.) I also purchased a muffler (quiet flow) the muffler works and fits great, its this tailpipe that sucks.

Vibrant 1141 2.5" Ultra Quiet Resonator Review

(More customer reviews)This resonator is everything I wanted. I had a 2.5" Downpipe connected to a 2.5" cat-back system and boy did it DRONE BAD! as early as 3000 RPMs!
It drove me INSANE (this is with the windows UP!) I found this, bought it, had a section of straight pipe between the cat and catback cut off and this fit in there pefectly (but i knew this before i ordered it)
Now i would say, even with my full turboback system, it is just as quiet as stock! this is what i wanted, a stealth exhaust system
As for quality, it is amazing, you wont find a single weld you dont like. Plus the design is straight though, i did not "feel" any power loss due to any "backpressure" doubt there was much backpressure added...

(More customer reviews)The picture shown is not what is actually sent to you. I basically tied up $90 in funds so I could get the wrong thing and return it. The people sending this item are aware that you will receive an item different than pictured but have not managed to change the picture or description. It is DEFINITELY not a direct fit anything. I am extremely annoyed with the whole transaction and hope that for future buyers they know better than to buy this and get the wrong item.
