After having muffler shop install the system, I was pleased with improvements in fuel economy and performance, slightly disappointed with sound level and quality. Vital information here: The flange on the back side of the converter is three bolts, not two as provided. This simple oversight prevented me from doing my own installation.
Otherwise, improved performance, fuel economy improved to 33.8 mpg on last tank even in sub freezing weather. Prior to installing this system and in warmer weather, fuel consumption was in the 29.5 to 31 mpg range. I have seen 33+ mpg on three tanks.
Fixed excess loudness (resonance from 2.2 Ecotec engine) by installing 18" Magnaflow muffler in forward pipe, additional $70 expense but smoothed sound and did not affect performance.
