Time will tell how quickly this one rots out in my Midwestern climate (this is the 3rd exhaust on the car), but as it is now, this works. I'm not a metallurgist, so there's not a whole lot I can say at this point other than that it works, and with appropriate gaskets, I have no leaks.
I'm writing this review mainly to help those who are confused about which exhaust systems work with a '92 Honda Civic. I shopped around at a number of different places and there were a number of different systems that supposedly work with the DX, but not necessarily with manual transmissions. This system fits the '92 Civic DX hatchback with manual transmission, though not perfectly. You can tell it is after-market because the first bend after the resonator does not quite match up with the undercarriage. To me, this does not matter, it fits, nothing rubs or hangs down too low, and the hangers work. I see no reason to take off any stars. If it starts to significantly rust up in the next few years, I'll update the review as I'm quite confident many '92 Civics will still be running strong.

All the local car shops were either backordered or one week delivery on this type part. The Bosal part was the least expensive, highest quality,(good welds, finish.)delivered in 4 days including weekend! 2nd day air is no faster than that. (Free Shipping)Part was not all dented like the parts from Autozone. I wish I had looked here first and not just for the part that was cancelled by Autozone. I'll start here next time and save myself the grief! CAE

This is a perfect fit for my 2000 Saab 9-5 wagon. There's not a lot else I can say: it's a muffler.
A few things of note: This is actually the CENTER muffler, not the rear one. This unit has only 2 hangers on the front vs the two front and rear, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. Also they've (wisely) done away with the built-in studs on the front flange. You'll need to supply your own bolts if you're replacing the OEM unit.

Bosal 286-031 Rear Silencer Review

Installed this under my 2002 Chevy Tracker 4 door. Fit all the mounts nicely and seems to accurately duplicate the factory Suzuki/Chevy tailpipe/muffler assembly. Pleasantly surprised to find the pipe is almost mandrel bent. No crimp or crush bent pipe BS here. You aren't loosing any flow over the stock pieces.
Word of warning - to properly install this the vehicle needs to be up in the air. As in FEET in the air. I have 3 ton jackstands and even with those as high up as my 3 ton jack could get the vehicle I couldn't get the right angle to hook it up and over the rear axle. Ended up removing the driveshaft and putting 8" of solid concrete blocks under the stands to do it. After that it went right in and the extra height did make all the installation easier. FYI, FWIW, your mileage may vary, use your own judgement.
*- DO NOT USE HOLLOW CINDER BLOCKS TO RAISE A STAND OR JACK BECAUSE THEY WILL CRUSH/CRUMBLE. -*
Oh, and as far as the sound goes...I was a bit worried this would totally muffle the exhaust of my peppy little truck. No, on the contrary I can hold a conversation inside easily while still having a bit of a revvy exhaust note. Definitely not a 70's style 4' long silencer/muffler. The resonator at the end also does a very effective job of removing the drone these engines are famous for having right around 45-60mph.

Awsome muffler, sounds great, not loud, and really tuff. I could park my jeep on and not dent it. That's really good for us 4x4 guys. Also this muffler has no packing in it to wear out. I would say it's very comparable to Flowmaster but a bit cheaper in price. I would definitly recommend a BOMB !

Bosal 282-139 Rear Silencer Review

Bosal 282-139 Rear Silencer
Average Reviews:

I bought this muffler and the tail pipe (Bosal) to replace my dead muffler on 1997 Toyota 4Runner. I thought I found a good product at a reasonable price. Genuine Toyota muffler was over $400. When I got the muffler and the tail pipe, I checked everything. It looked decent. Then I discovered that one of the welded screws to hold O2 sensor was loose. That was the first hint of poor quality control. But I was still in the happy zone. Then I found that one assembly, called damper, wasn't on the muffler. I had no idea about that. So I called Bosal to make sure that absence of that assembly won't affect anything. The customer rep didn't care about my concern at all. All he said was to return the muffler and buy a Toyota one and he wasn't friendly at all. That guy thought he was doing me a huge favor just by speaking to me. Mister, do you think muffler will get inside a box, tape the box and walk to the shipper by itself and then order a new one. Since I am going on a camping trip, I didn't have enough time to return and get a new one. Also, I thought may be newer mufflers just don't need that assembly.
I started on installing it on my 4Runner. I installed the muffler. Then I tried to attach the tail pipe (Bosal) by bolting it to the muffler. The pipe from the muffler was about 1/4 inch protruding from the flange. So the flange from the tail pipe didn't come close enough to bolt. I had to take the muffler off to cut that extra pipe. In this process, the loose screw to hold O2 sensor fell off!
I cut the extra pipe and reinstalled the muffler. I forced the O2 sensor screw back into it's hole. I am hoping it'll stay.
Then I realized that Bosal didn't send the nuts for the bolts which attaches muffler to the tail pipe. Unfortunately, I didn't have matching nuts in my junk box. I almost called it a day. Then I realized that one bar near the muffler had 4 bolts of same size. I removed 2 nuts and used those to attach tail pipe to the muffler. Finally, my project was over. I drove my 4Runner to work. I did notice my 4Runner is making lesser noise.
Bottom line - There is a reason Toyota charges premium. Their products are very high quality. Even if they don't make it, they make sure about the quality. Next time I'll be extremely cautious with any non-OEM parts.

I got a decent price on this exhaust section for my 98 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon. I suggest getting a chrome exhaust tip (not sure of the size) as the stock one on this item will rapidly discolor (rust).

The NGK 25034 Oxygen Sensor wouldn't have been my first choice, but the price was amazing (2 o2 sensors shipped for $30 total).
Because of the price I am very satisfied, if I had paid full price ($50-$80 each) I would be dissatisfied.
The function of the sensors is great but the plug end is described as being OEM correct, definitely not the case. They do fit together but the design is far from what it should be. As a substitution I would recommend Bosch, as they are the OEM provider and the fit and function is basically guaranteed.

Being an original equipment-type device, this Bosch oxygen sensor matched the original perfectly and was very easy to install. OE-type sensors are definitely worth the cost. Using a special O2 sensor socket (purchased separately) really simplified the removal/installation. This new O2 sensor (downstream of cat) successfully cured my pesky check engine light code P0420.

Looked online for a while.. and looked at dif types of exhausts, corsa claims to have no drone.. its true.. i was expecting to hear a loud rumble the whole time im driving but its just as quiet as the stock exhaust from in the cabin while cruising. when you punch it, it def screams :D makes me want to gun it after every stop sign! I wouldnt recommend the pace or touring editions from corsa or whatever they are.. i think they would be too quiet. This exhaust is perfect! easy to install also
