(More customer reviews)I ordered and installed this item on my 2005 Corvette. When I went to close the hood it pressed against it but the hood would close. I trusted the mfg's statement that it fit my car. 2 weeks latter I have a stress crack in my hook in the middle near the front window. The chevrolet dealer told me that the pressue from the device on the hood put extress stress on the connections on each side which put stress at the weakest point which is the middle of the hood. Amazon was great in letting me return the product but I would give a warning to any 2005 and latter Corvette owner that this product does not fit and I have learned a very expensive lesson.
