(More customer reviews)Actually, the size of this tip is 2.0 inch inlet, 2.5 inch outlet diameter. It is NOT measured in metric as a previous reviewer states. It is actually Amazon's fault for not including this information but, if you go to Vibrant's website and look up this part number it clearly states:
Inlet Diameter: Fits up to 2" Tailpipe
Outlet Diameter: 2.5"
Overall Length: 5"
Tip Style: Single Wall, Angle Cut, Rolled Edge

(More customer reviews)Great exhaust tip. Fits a 2" stock pipe perfectly. I've been driving with it for a couple months now and haven't had any problems or loosening of the screws. This particular pipe is more of a smoked or black chrome as opposed to the normal silvery tint (as you can kind of tell in the picture). It's a great look. I'm very happy with it.

I selected this exhaust tip solely on the picture because I liked the design. I received it yesterday and it wasn't exactly like the picture but it still looks good. I just don't like to settle for something that is not exactly what I expected. It is indeed a dual square tip with rolled edges.
I haven't had the time to install it on my 98 Expedition but I will on my next day off. I'm sure it will look nice.

The performance is very good. I feel that my car run smoothier than usual. It's increase 7% horse power The sound is great too. But not that loud its soft. The clamp is superb. Can't believe it that I watch at this tip after installation for one hour.

These are just longer 8" versions of the other 3.5" tips that Pilot offers and are not larger in diameter. It even states 3.5" on the packaging. They are okay though. Good quality. I'll probably keep it but I really wanted 4". I looked everywhere for an affordable 4" tip and thought I had it with this one...I was wrong.

(More customer reviews)These are not 2-1/4" exhaust pipes. It is a 2" exhaust pipe because it can fit a 2" pipe. If it were a 2-1/4" pipe, it would fit a 2-1/4" pipe. The actual size of the pipe is 2-1/4" but that is not the correct way to title the pipe. With exhaust tips you always say it is the size of the pipe it can fit (2").

I wanted to clamp it on rather than weld it so I hade to cut slots in it and used a stainless clamp to complete the install. Overall I was very pleased with the quality of the item.

(More customer reviews)In this case, you get a tad bit more then what you pay for (I paid $13.xx). I got 2 for a custom texas style custom dual setup on my pickup and they finish the whole thing up sooo nicely! And they're a shiny chrome finish like they're supposed to be. They don't have a 2-1/4" outlet though, its more like 2" outlets, but because they're dual tips you really don't notice unless you get in there and measure it. They of course probably won't last as long as stainless steel would, but for now, I'm happy with my starter kit.
