(More customer reviews)After many months of hard research and hearing sound sample on You Tube videos, I opted for American Thunder series.
I was intially set to buy the Corsa Sport but then changed by mind for the Corsa Extreme. I also looked at the Borla and also Magnaflow exhausts but the sound did not do the HEMI any justise. I was basically after a sound that was a true match for V8 engine and the sound must be MUSCLE SOUND and not DEAFENING. These are the only words that I could use to describe what I was looking for.
So it was a decision between either the Flowmaster Super 44 (17405) or Flowamster 40 Series (17480), or Corsa Extreme, or Corsa Sport.
THE CHOICE WAS MADE! It was the Flowmaster 40 Series (17480). I decided to go for this because did not want the Force 2 resonators as it dampened the V8 note with the Super 44 muflers. So I went for the over sized Super 40 series, with the larger casing it was the right choice because there is no resonance, even when the engine MDS switches from 8 cylinders to 4.
Unfortuneately Corse Extreme and the Sport were far too out of my budget. Also my reaseach indicated that Corsa exhausts was constructed with packing materials, which from my experience absorbs/holds water content. Dont get me wrong though, Corsa exhausts is about looks & quality, but its not about looks or price. For me it was all about the right kind of quality sound, MATCHING SOUND!
Corsa extreme would have been deafening and the neighbour would dislike. Corsa Sports is far too over priced for what after all is a shiny straight through pipe.
I have made far the best choice here. My Chrysler 300c Hemi 5.7 sounds like as it should. Its muscle car sound and the Delta Flow technology is spot on. No packing materials here, just proper technology. I'm no sale man, but my review is here to help you make the right choice and the right investment. Enjoy
