(More customer reviews)Having used this CDI rev box for about 2 months now, I actually decided to take it off my bike. In my experience with it, it actually made my bike perform worse in about every way possible. My bike has a lot of bolt ons (exhaust, jetted, clutch kit, air box, etc) Here is what I found:
- Made my KFX near impossible to start, when it did start it would run rough for about 2 minutes until the engine warmed up.
- Much slower acceleration off the line; slower acceleration in the mid range (40-60 mph). My friend has a 400EX and actually was beating me now, where as before I was edging him out.
+ I think the only positive may be it did add a few MPH to my top speed, but whats the point if your significantly slower getting there?
I think if you have a moderately to highly modded engine, this rev box may help you. However, if you've done no major engine mods (bore kits, etc) I would stay with the stock CDI. I ended up putting the stock back on, and am much more happy with the performance.
