The only deficiency encountered was the hole in the air intake tube for mounting to the throttle body was not drilled cleanly through thus necessitating a drilling of this hole to allow the air intake to fit over the mounting stud.

aFe 51-10712 Stage 2 Air Intake System Review

(More customer reviews)This is a quality intake that definitely improves the sound of the engine. I can't say that I notice a difference in power, but I'm sure it adds a few extra ponies. Amazon says this doesn't fit the 2009 Chrysler 300C SRT8 6.1L engine, but AFE assured me it would fit, and it fit just fine. The included instructions are for the 5.7L, but the steps are basically the same.
Overall the installation was simple, though there were a few things that could have been better. The hose had to be cut to fit properly, and the bolts that attach the tube to the shield were extremely short (the bolt under the filter was very hard to get on).
I've read that this was redesigned to prevent the tube from rubbing against the hood; either that is still an issue or I received the old tube.
The dry filter is very nice, and looks like it will be super easy to clean.

When I reinstalled the Mass Air Flow Sensor, one of the provided screws stripped. I just used an extra one I had in the garage - so no big deal. Just make sure you really squish down the little gasket for a minute or 2 before you try to screw it down. But aside from that minor issue, I am very impressed with the quality and appearance.

Does not sound good at all. well maybe on idle it does other than that your just another v6'er who tried to sound like a v8. the only reason I gave 2 stars was for amazon on the shipping, thats about it. V6 Silverado owners, listen to V8 owners, dont put a exhaust on a V6 truck you wont be happy.

(More customer reviews)This is a great cat back system for those who want a performance exhaust without the noise. Sound levels are slightly louder than stock mufflers. The best way that I can describe the sound is performance/stock. I did notice a different (better) feel on the accelerator. This is the first exhaust system that I have ever had to make a noticeable difference. As for increased power or fuel economy, I do not know at this point. I purchased this set to replace a 2 chamber dual set up. I forgot how nice a quiet truck was.

It has a straight through design which minimizes backpressure and has much more flow than my original flow 40 series flowmaster muffler. the muffler sounds very good and is built much heavier than the flowmaster. (More customer reviews)All I can say is that I fell into the mpg scheme. I own a 2006 Dodge 2500 diesel and it actually hurt my fuel mileage 1 mpg. My cousin has a 2006 Powerstroke and he put on a K&N and he also lost 1 mpg. The only thing the AFE did for my pickup was make the cab noise almost unbearable. Buyer beware!!

I wanted an all stainless steel system so that I would never have to replace it again, since I plan on keeping my Tahoe for a long time. I also wanted a little bit more of a "meaner" sound from the truck. I think that with this system, I achieved both. The system is beautifully finished,(it's a shame that you can't see anthing but the tip) and it sounds great! This is my family vehicle, so I didn't want it to sound too loud. The sound is just right, a nice snarle at start up, good rumble during acceleration, but no drone at highway speeds. It is finished off with a beautiful exhaust tip that really sets off the truck. Installation was very straight forward and one of the easiest additions that I have done. The hardest part was the removal of the old rusty system. I highly recommend this product!

The only problem I had was the hanger supplied was a bit on the weak side. I had to clear my spare tire a little more and the hanger was allowing the pipe to keep dropping down and touching the tire again. Quick fix, had a more rigged hanger made, no problems now. I haven't driven my Titan enough to determine whether or not the gas milage as increased but the power is most definitely there.
