I recently purchased one of the exhaust systems for a U.S spec GTI MK6, Installation was pretty eaisy, although the raceland in-pipe was 70mm and the GTI pipe is 65mm so this leaves a considerable gap when trying to marry the two together, and this is impossible with the band clamps that are provided, the band clamps that are provided are 80 mm band clamps and DO NOT tighten enough to tighten the exhaust on either end.
Other then that it was a perfect fit. Also might want to mention that the stock exhaust needs to be cut, and the average home mechanic will have a rough time with the proper measurements. The MK6 GTI Exhaust from the CAT back is all one piece and does not clamp together. You will need more then one person to install. If your looking for sound out of this you will not get any different sound from the stock exhaust, as VW does NOT use the muffler to baffel the sound of you engine, If you would like a different sound you need to replace or remove the resonator (the piece between the CAT and the Muffler). The product arrived in perfect condition and in a very timely manner, 2 days.
