This pipe made my 2001 XR400R come alive without rejetting.
I just followed the directions and was easy to install. This pipe calls for
stock jet settings and remove the snorkle. I haven't removed the snorkle yet
because I feel no need too. Great power gain and a nice sound too. The sound is not to loud but loud enough to make your bike run and sound like a whole new bike. A little louder than stock but with power core 4 sound. Good for neighbers and me as well. The sound is just what I was looking for.
There was a little play between header and this pipe during installation but high temp silicon worked that problem out. Directions even says to apply it too. So make sure to have some. I had to make a quick trip to auto store to buy some @ $7.00.
This was the cheapest place I could find a decent deal on a slip on pipe for my bike. I'm 41 years old and probily have this bike untill I get to old to kick it. It gets me through the woods to look for them great mushroom patches and chase the hounds while hunting. Powercore 4 is a good performance upgrade and will help get you up a hill climb.
