Bought this to replace a loud Flowmaster exhaust on my '04 Dodge 1500 Hemi Quad Cab because it was way too loud (Put on there by the previous owner). I read that the Super Turbo muffler included in this system was something like 70% quieter than the Flowmaster while flowing just as well.
All tubing was mandrel bent (No ridges in the bends for optimal flow). For the short bed, quad cab this is a bolt in installation. Took me about 50 minutes from opening the box to having it completely installed. There were really no instructions though, only a parts diagram with really small fonts that said which parts to use where. As far as how to get the old exhaust out and the new stuff in appropriately that's on you.
For the quad cab w/short bed you will have one straight section of tube and a 3" clamp left over in the end. Other cab/bed combinations may require you to cut one or both of the tubes before the muffler so be prepared for that. I'm pretty sure for a regular cab, short bed you'd have to cut and you probably wouldn't need to cut for the quad cab, long bed but you would actually use that extra tube and 3" clamp.
You should not have to drill any holes for the dual exhaust pipe hangers. I was about to try to borrow a right angle drill to make holes for them and then realized that they included large fender washers so you could utilize two large factory holes in the frame. Once again, instructions would have been nice here.
Just assemble everything loosely then go to the front and tighten each clamp, working your way towards the back. I used bungy cords to support the tailpipes while getting everything into position. Check the alignment of everything each time you tighten a clamp and when you get to the rear make your final adjustments at the tailpipes. Start it up, check for leaks (You will feel the air escaping) and retighten if necessary. Oh, you'll probably want to lower the spare when you do the final assembly of the tailpipe hangers. You can probably get to the passenger side one with the spare up but the driver's side is a little tighter. Leave the spare in place during the initial fitting to make sure the pipes clear it.
Contrary to the description on here there are no "Rectangle Slash-Cut Chrome Spout[s]". I didn't fully expect to see them since the pictures didn't show them but was a little hopeful since the description mentioned them. I might email Amazon about this. So, unless you want to see bare steel 2.5", square cut pipes sticking out from under your bumper you should plan on getting some exhaust tips.
The fit to the factory pipe was a little sloppier than I would have liked to have seen. It was close enough that the clamp made up the difference but I would have liked to have seen a tighter fit there. There was a little alignment "nub"/stud on the top side of the factory pipe that I knocked off with a cold chisel. You could probably leave it on there but knocking it off let me engage the tubing another 1/4" or so. The other joints fit well but I initially had some leaks at the two rear tailpipes. Had to really torque down those clamps more than the others.
In the end it's got just a little bit more rumble than stock at idle and when cruising. It has what seems like more of a bass note at low RPM so my wife still hears it in the house. I don't know that it's 70% quieter than the Flowmaster but I'll give it 50%. There's a very small hint of drone at 70 MPH but it's 90% less than the Flowmaster. I've never heard a factory exhaust on this truck from inside the cab so it's entirely possible that the slight engine noise at 70 MPH is present with the factory muffler too.
I can't really comment on any performance gains since I already had a performance muffler on there and never drove the truck with stock exhaust.
Amazon said something like "ships in 7-10 days" in the description but it actually shipped the same day.
Overall it's pretty good for $150 shipped after rebate ($223.23, free shipping, -$75 Dynomax mail in rebate). Some 3rd party sellers on here have it for $300+ and I don't think it's worth that much.
