(More customer reviews)I purchased a new Walker muffler directly from Amazon. The first package arrived in about a week via UPS standard shipping, however it was severely damaged. The box was split wide open, end to end, with a 3" diameter hole in it. The muffler had large dents and scratches in it. I was shocked at the complete absence of packaging material. They simply slapped a shipping label on the manufacturer's box and sent it out.
I emailed customer service and received an immediate response, which was great! They provided return shipping labels and immediately sent out a new one, with the understanding that the packaging would be properly inspected prior to shipping. I was extremely satisfied with customer service at that point. I understand that mishaps can occur, and they did a great job at responding to that.
Well, the replacement item arrived today and the box was obliterated. I could actually reach into the box without opening it. The muffler was in worse condition than the original. I took photos of both items, and will post if I am allowed.
I have ordered from Amazon for years and had nothing but great service, but this is a total deal-breaker. From this point on, I will take my business elsewhere. Buyer beware.
